Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Myanmar.

We are looking froward to demonstrating the bamboo ReciproBoo shelter Kit (RSK) to interested groups and individuals in Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and Pakistan .

This focus on bamboo arises due to;

1. The recent success of the Medair led bamboo RSK workshop in Sudan.

2. The ease of using local materials and bamboo resources to build the RSK.

3. A local "in country need need " for a bamboo shelter that can be assembled in numbers to give a degree of independence from traditional tents.

4. The potential for the roof of the RSK to be incorporated in a transitional shelter is easily demonstrated with bamboo.

In addition I am particularly excited about demonstrating that the addition of only 4 further bamboo poles to the basic RSK can increase height and floor space considerably ( 25 sq metres). This, together with the much cooler insulated RSK will vastly improve the quality of life for beneficiaries as they look to improve their shelter.
