practical shelter innovation for disaster relief

Making a hook

A replacement hook for rope attachment or pole support can easily be made from a standard 5mm steel tent peg using very basic tools ( a pliers grip and hammer are adequate).
This hook is remarkably strong for purpose; two or more hooks can be inserted into the end of a single pole if preferred.
