Why we need a partner.

Outline of the programs

DISASTER PREPAREDNESS

The recent workshops with the Red Cross and SEEDS Asia in Myanmar have shown how successful the shelter can be when working with national aid agencies and NGOs.

SHELTER DEPLOYMENT

However, the programs we are proposing to deploy RSKs* now need to be scaled up to an international network level.

We have a clear vision of how this can be achieved but we also recognise that only with the input of a partner can we effectively make it happen.

Initial deployment with IFRC shelter kit tools. For large scale disasters supply with all the existing tarpaulins distributed by aid agencies.

Costs

Prepositioned bamboo frames cost $6 each.

The complete RSK shelter kit
( including a $15 tarpaulin) costs $25

An ideal partner would be a philanthropist, entrepreneur, individual or organisation with an interest in sustainable shelter and a passion for making a real difference at grassroots level.
